Welcome to the TECH Map! Powered by the University of Houston, this map started from the need to represent the growing innovation ecosystem in the Greater Houston area and has expanded to highlight innovation activity across the country.

About
When the City of Houston and Houston Exponential launched a massive effort to strengthen Houston as an innovation city, the University of Houston wanted to capture the wealth of entrepreneurial activity in the area to showcase what our city has to offer.
We began working on the TECH Map (originally, the Technology and Entrepreneur Community of Houston Map) as a way to promote the innovation growth in Houston with the hope of attracting more startup activity here. As the map launched in Houston, it sparked interest outside the city around showing similar ecosystem development in other areas.
The TECH Map is a tool for the innovation community – a tool for startups to find the right co-working space or incubator; a tool for investors to find a promising company to support; a tool for innovation leaders to understand and enhance their ecosystem. As the map expands, we envision people throughout the national or international innovation community to be able to explore synergies in certain communities that may be a good fit for them.
The map is managed by the UH Division of Research and Technology Transfer, home of the UH Technology Bridge.

We want the TECH Map to paint a detailed picture of the places innovation activity is happening. If you are a startup development organization, use this form to contact us and we’ll be glad to add your companies to the map and build a custom view of your data to share with your community.
You can also promote the map to your companies and they can join directly with this form.
